The 74th Annual DMA International ECHO Awards Ceremony

Celebrating great work that worked great!!!!

The DMA International ECHO Awards ceremony traditionally held on Sunday evening…NOW for the first time will be held as a presentation brunch. It will take place on Sunday, October 12 in Orlando, Florida, where direct marketers from throughout the world will gather to honor those whose outstanding achievement has earned them an award. The ceremony will be held during the DMA 86th Annual Conference & Exhibition at the Orange County Convention Center - South Theatre.

Gold, Silver and Bronze ECHO Awards represent the top three levels of recognition in all business categories to be awarded this year. Five further special awards will be presented as well The DMA Diamond ECHO -- for the most outstanding, "Best of Show," campaign; The USPS Gold Mailbox Award (sponsored by United States Postal Service) is presented for the most innovative use of direct mail; The Henry Hoke Award (sponsored by Hoke Communications) is for the campaign with the most courageous solution to a difficult sales problem; and to address the growing importance of marketing on the Web, The ECHO Digital Award -- this award will be presented for the campaign that best applies new technology to execute proven direct marketing principles.

The host of this year’s ceremony is Actor/Comedian Larry Miller—who has developed a sense of style not often associated with stand-up comedians or actors. His memorable cameo as the pretentious boutique manager "sucking up" to Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in "Pretty Woman" left an impressionable mark on the industry and audiences alike as the film went on to become the smash hit of 1990, television credits include being a regular on NBC’s "Pursuit of Happiness" and ABC’s comedy "Life’s Work" and recurring roles on two series "Law and Order" and "Mad About You." He has regular guest appearances on "The Tonight Show" and "Late Night with David Letterman” and has had two of his own critically acclaimed specials for HBO. Other film credits include "Necessary Roughness," "Undercover Blues," "Corrina, Corrina", "Dream Lover," "The Favor," "Waiting for Guffman" and as the voice of the Boss on the animated series “Dilbert.”
