DMA Extends Deadline for 'Marketer of the Year' Nominations to Aug. 14

August 8, 2008 — The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) has extended the deadline for nominations of an individual, company, or nonprofit organization for its 2008 Marketer of the Year Award.  The new deadline for nominations is Thursday, August 14.

This year’s recipient will be honored on Tuesday morning, October 14 during DMA08 Conference & Exhibition, the Global Event for Integrated Marketing, which will be held October 11-16 in Las Vegas.

Established in 1968, the DMA Marketer of the Year Award honors an individual or organization that has contributed to direct marketing excellence in the last 12 months, and has exhibited corporate and environmental responsibility.  Also, the annual award recognizes the achievement, innovation, and leadership of an individual or company whose work represents the very best in marketing directly.

Companies being considered for the award will have shown an impact on the marketing community.  Individuals must have demonstrated leadership within the marketing community through the implementation of new products or services, processes, or personal growth.
