DMA Kicks Off DMA09 Annual Conference & Exhibition in San Diego
October 17, 2009 — The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) today kicks off DMA09 Conference & Exhibition, the Global Event for Integrated Marketing, in San Diego, California. The keynote speakers headlining this year’s conference are people who have changed the face of business, marketing, and social media — marketing icons Martha Stewart and Stan Rapp, and social media visionaries Scott Monty and Ken Dychtwald.
DMA09, one of the world’s largest gatherings of integrated, multichannel marketing professionals, is the place where the entire international marketing community will connect with people, companies, ideas, education, trends, and technology that will shape marketing’s future.
“I believe anyone in marketing will benefit from attending DMA09 this year,” said John Greco, DMA President & CEO. “Understanding how direct marketing works and developing expertise in the process is vitally important today in every field and industry. The direct marketing process is the future of all marketing and an essential driver of sales and growth for today’s global economy.
“Attendees can expect all the essential training, decision-making, and networking opportunities from this year’s conference,” continued Greco. “In between attending world-class sessions and earning credits towards the ‘DMA Certified Marketing Professional’ certificate, conference attendees have unparalleled access to leading experts who can help them improve their marketing efficiency, ROI, and build more successful campaigns. The digital multichannel direct marketing landscape is changing very rapidly every day, testing the ability of marketers to understand what’s happening and stay a few steps ahead. That’s what DMA09 is all about.”
The conference boasts over 130 educational sessions and a buzzing Exhibit Hall where attendees can debut and demo products and services, network, and find actionable solutions.
Marketers attending DMA09 can also gain worldwide recognition for their direct marketing expertise by attending specific sessions that earn credits toward the “DMA Certified Professional Marketing” program, the foremost all inclusive educational program that keeps marketers connected and current.
Attendees will want to download the DMA09 Widget or log onto MyDMA09 for a personalized and interactive event planner. Those on the go will be able to download the new Blackberry or iPhone app to help navigate the show, access the show directory, stay connected through Facebook and Twitter, as well as develop detailed trip reports from their time in spent at DMA09.
