DMA 2010 Innovation Awards Celebrates Advancements in Direct And Digital Marketing Technology; Deadline for Submissions Extended to July 10

June 21, 2010Direct Marketing Association (DMA) has announced that is extending the deadline for entries for its 2010 Innovation Awards, celebrating advancements in direct and digital marketing technology to July 10.  The honors, established last year as the Future Innovators Awards, will be presented on Tuesday, October 12, during an Exhibit Hall Closing Ceremony for the DMA2010 Conference & Exhibition, which takes place October 9-14 in San Francisco.

The Awards call for entries is now open and the deadline for submission is now extended to July 10.

Recognizing ingenuity and creativity, this year’s Innovation Awards are open to both DMA2010 exhibitors and non-exhibitors.  The awards will showcase and reward outstanding advancements being made in direct and digital marketing technology which must be a product or service introduced to the business community within the prior 12 months.

“Ingenuity and innovation have always led the way towards reshaping the marketplace,” said Bernice Grossman, president, DMRS Group Inc. and one of this year’s judges.  “DMA is proud to showcase the ‘Best in Categories’ from the marketing supplier and user communities.”

Award entries will be based on three main criteria:  how innovative is your product or service is, the impact the product or service has on an end user, and whether or not the product or service has made a difference in the community at large.  Nominees and winners will then be selected by a distinguished panel of judges which include representatives from:  eMarketer; Engauge; Portrait Software; Razorfish; and Winterberry Group.

Awards will be bestowed in the following six categories:  Broadcast Media; Digital Media; Direct Mail/Fulfillment; Loyalty; Marketing Management; Market Segmentation and Optimization.  One “People’s Choice Award” will be voted for by DMA2010 attendees, and one “Best in Show” grand prize award will be selected by the judges.
