DMEF Calls for Nominations for 2013 'Rising Stars' and 'Corporate Commitment' Awards
January 8, 2013 — The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) today announced it is welcoming nominations for its prestigious 2013 Rising Stars and Corporate Commitment Awards. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 15.
Winners will be announced in early March, and honored at DMEF’s Rising Stars Awards Dinner at 360° in New York City on June 11. This awards dinner is a featured event during Integrated Marketing Week, the premier event taking place June 10–13 in NYC, co-sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and Econsultancy.
Individual and corporate award recipients will be honored for their commitment to excellence in the field of direct/interactive marketing education, specifically highlighting service that nurtures and supports the next generation of talent in this field. These honorees set the standard for leadership, generosity, and giving back to the marketing community.
The DMEF Awards Selection Committee, consisting of leaders in the field of direct/interactive marketing, will review the nominations. Close attention will be paid to the candidates’ qualifications and accomplishments as they relate to the nomination criteria.

It is this level of leadership and integrity that defines the DMEF’s Rising Stars and Corporate Commitment Awards,” said Craig Wood, DMEF Chair. “Awards presented at the DMEF’s annual Rising Stars Awards Dinner offer a unique opportunity to give public recognition to standout talent, both at the individual and corporate levels. We are honored to review and select winners for these prestigious awards, giving recognition to those who work tirelessly to support the next generation in this field.”
DMEF Rising Stars Award
DMEF’s Rising Stars Award is presented to individuals 40 years of age and younger who are recognized as up-and-coming leaders in the field of direct/interactive marketing. Winning candidates demonstrate outstanding professional achievement and commitment to giving back through furthering education and growth throughout the field. They must exhibit superior leadership and professional achievements in the online/offline space, combined with an unmatched commitment to giving back — including educational, charitable activities, and/or supporting and mentoring young professionals.

DMEF Corporate Commitment Award
DMEF’s Corporate Commitment Award honors companies that exemplify the unique and significant qualities of leadership, and consistently demonstrate a commitment to excellence in the areas of direct/interactive marketing education among new and upcoming talent. The corporate honoree must be renowned for its culture of nurturing rising talent, as well as active support and consistent participation in DMEF programs and activities that foster and promote excellence — for today and tomorrow. Last year, the Corporate Commitment Award went to Acxiom.
