DMEF Invites Nominations for Ed Mayer Educational Leadership Award

March 7, 2006 – The Board of Trustees of the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) today announced that it is accepting nominations for the 2006 DMEF Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Educational Leadership Award.  Nominations are due on or by March 30, 2006.

The award will be presented October 14 at the Foundation’s Awards Dinner during DMA06 Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco, CA, which will be held October 14-18.

Selection for the Ed Mayer Educational Leadership Award is based on an individual’s lifetime contributions to the advancement of direct marketing education.

A Selection Committee of DMEF trustees will consider nominees’ personal commitment of time; financial assistance; development and contribution of effective ideas, concepts, teaching materials or literature in the field; instruction of collegiate students or professors; and any other actions that have effectively assisted or promoted the objectives of the Foundation.

Nominations for the 2006 award may be direct to the attention of Laurie Spar, vice president & general manager, DMEF, 1120 Avenue of the Americas, 14th Floor, New York, NY, 10036-6700, or lspar@the-dma.org by March 30.  Letters should include a brief statement about why the nominee merits the award.
