DMA Announces Event Highlights for DMA International Day 2006

May 25, 2006In their ongoing effort to help marketers succeed in the international marketplace, the Direct Marketing Association (The DMA) has announced the return of the highly successful one-day conference, DMA International Day 2006.   The theme of this year’s International Day is "Expanding Successfully in the World’s Most Attractive (and Lucrative) Markets."

 

The conference – held June 19, 2006, at The Harvard Club in New York City – will provide marketers with the best direct marketing tools and strategies used by US companies expanding globally while exploring lucrative opportunities in attractive markets, including China, India and Brazil. Participants will learn firsthand from leading International Marketers about the evolution of market-entry strategies, as well as how to use customer data to their best advantage and employ global advertising and emerging media.

 

DMA International Day 2006 will also feature:

 

·         Keynote:  Jacques Blain, Executive Vice President, 3 Suisse International Group:  In this 9:00 a.m. session, Blain – drawing on insights from his remarkable career leading corporations in Europe – will share his views on building international marketing intelligence, as well as the benefits and challenges of marketing internationally.

 

·         Spotlight Speaker Panel:  Market-Entry Strategies:  Then and Now:  This 1:30 p.m. panel of international marketing pioneers – Florence Leighton, Direct Media International; Richard Miller, International Mailers’ Advisory Group; Wesley Wood, Marketing Capital Corporation; James Thornton, Mailing Lists Asia Ltd; and Moderator Charles A. Prescott, VP, International Business Development and Government Affairs, DMA – will share their diverse business experiences and discuss the entire panoply of issues and concerns of direct marketers “Then and Now!”
