DMEF Invites Nominations for 'Ed Mayer Award' for Educational Leadership; Mar. 15 Deadline

February 23, 2007 — The Board of Trustees of the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) yesterday announced that is now accepting nominations for the 2007 DMEF Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Award.  The award will be presented on October 13 at the Foundation’s Annual Awards Dinner, held during the Direct Marketing Association’s DMA07 in Chicago (October 13 – 18, 2007).

Selection for the Educational Leadership Award is based on an individual’s lifetime contributions to the advancement of direct marketing education.  A Selection Committee of DMEF trustees will consider personal commitment of time, financial assistance, development, and contribution of effective ideas, concepts, teaching materials or literature in the field, instruction of collegiate students or professors, and any other actions that have effectively assisted or promoted the objectives of the DMEF.

Nominations for the 2007 award should be sent to DMEF President Terri L. Bartlett at Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, 1120 Avenue of the Americas, 14th Floor, New York, New York 10036-6700, or tlbartlett@the-dma.org by Friday, March 15.  Nomination letters should include a brief statement about why the candidate merits the award.
