DMA Congratulates 14 Member Companies on National Postal Forum Awards
April 3, 2007 — The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) congratulates member companies that were honored during last week’s National Postal Forum in Washington, DC. As part of the event, the United States Postal Service (USPS) recognized companies for their contributions to the continued success of the mailing community. More than half of the awards presented this year were given to DMA members.
“A big part of what we do at DMA is to challenge our members to raise the bar for marketing excellence, so it is especially gratifying when we see our members recognized as leaders in the field,” said DMA President & CEO John A. Greco, Jr. “Organizations like these present a terrific example for others within the marketing community who want to meet the same high standards for relevance, responsibility, and results.”
This year, the USPS presented R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company with its prestigious “Partnership for Progress Award.” Postmaster General John E. Potter presented the award during the National Postal Forum’s March 26 general session. This annual award recognizes overall industry leadership and innovation.
In addition, a series of awards recognizing local business-USPS partnerships were announced during the National Postal Forum by USPS Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President Anita Bizzotto and Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer Pat Donahoe. Thirteen DMA member companies were honored this year with partnership awards in three categories.
The “Corporate Business Achievement Award” honors companies that have a commitment to using formal partnerships with the US Postal Service to strengthen and grow their business. DMA member companies that were among this years recipients included:

· Prudential Financial
· ZipSort
The “Creative Business Solution Award” recognizes companies that have shown creativity in finding new ways to use the mail to achieve significant business results. DMA members receiving this award included:
· Best Buy
· Citizens Financial Group
· Entertainment Publications, Inc.
· Lexus division of Toyota Motor Sales, USA
· Navy Federal Credit Union
· Papa John’s International
The “Strategic Business Development Award” is given to companies that are “early adopters” of new technologies and best practices that help improve productivity and efficiency in mailing operations. DMA members receiving this award included:
· J.C. Penney Company, Inc.
· Kroger Company
· Shutterfly.com
· T. Rowe Price
