DMEF Calls for Nominations for 2008 'Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Education Leadership' and 'Corporate Leadership' AwardsNominations Deadline Is May 23; Honors to Be Presented October 11 at New York, NY, April 30, 2008 — The Board of Trustees of the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) today announce it is now accepting nominations for both the 2008 DMEF Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Education Leadership Award, and the 2008 DMEF Corporate Leadership Award. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 23, 2008. The awards will be presented at the DMEF’s Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday evening, October 11 at the Bellagio Las Vegas during the DMA08 Conference & Exhibition, which takes place October 11 – 16 in “The DMEF’s mission is to attract, educate, and place students in the dynamic field of direct/interactive marketing,” said DMEF President Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Education Leadership The DMEF’s Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Education Leadership Award is the premier award honoring the unique and significant actions by an individual who demonstrates support for direct/interactive marketing education in areas such areas as the creation and development of teaching methods and materials, and the personal contribution of time, expertise, and financial resources to further the DMEF’s mission and objectives. DMEF Corporate Leadership The DMEF’s Corporate Leadership Award honors the unique and significant actions of a corporation that demonstrates outstanding practices, that makes contributions in the area of direct marketing education, including internal (among staff and community) and external industry support. The nominated corporation should consistently support the DMEF, and actively participate in or generate activities which foster and promote excellence.
