DMA Utilizes Specialized "Voice of Customer" Research to Improve DMA08 and Future Conferences

New York, NY, October 6, 2008 —The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) is nearing the kick-off of this year’s annual conference, DMA08 Conference & Exhibition, the Global Event for Integrated Marketing.  DMA is more committed than ever to providing a vibrant and relevant conference for both the loyal marketers who have been attending for years and the new generation of marketers attending in Las Vegas this year, for the first time.

With ever-increasing technology and innovation, the challenge of accommodating the world’s largest group of multichannel marketing professionals grows every year.  Through a recent partnership with Ernan Roman Direct Marketing who conducted in-depth “Voice of the Customer” (VOC) research, DMA is now using the findings from this specialized research to deliver the best events and value-added information to the direct marketing community.

The powerful, customer-driven strategies, based on the VOC research insights, will invigorate and enrich DMA’s seminars and conferences.  Specific results from the VOC research have provided an in-depth understanding of people’s perceptions and expectations, helping DMA further develop customer-focused changes for their upcoming events.

These valuable marketing strategies are already being put into place, and DMA08 attendees can learn more about the Voice of the Customer research from Ernan Roman who will be conducting a pre-conference intensive on Acquisition and Retention entitled:  Achieving Breakthrough Opt-In Driven Multichannel Marketing; Learn the 5 Critical Steps.

DMA believes in constantly improving upon all aspects of its offerings, and these practical, customer-driven guidelines will benefit not only attendees of the DMA08 conference, but future conference attendees and exhibitors as well.
