Call for Nominations eec People's Choice: 2009 Best in Email AwardAward to be Presented During Email Evolution Conference, February 9-11, 2009 New York, NY, November 3, 2008 — The Email Experience Council (eec), the email marketing arm of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), today announced a call for nominations for the eec People’s Choice: 2009 Best in Email Award. The award, which debuted last year as the Email Performance Award, will be presented to an individual or organization that has created an email marketing campaign which best demonstrates the full power of the email marketing channel. Entries will be evaluated for their marketing strategy, creative components, and, most importantly, results. Permission-based email marketing campaigns from any industry vertical are eligible for entry into the award competition as long as results described have been achieved within the last 12 months. eec members will select the winner from among the Email Performance Award finalists, which will be determined by the eec’s leadership and announced in mid-January. The winner will receive complimentary registration to the Email Evolution Conference being held at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in The winner of ecc’s People Choice: 2009 Best in Email Award will also be placed into the semi-finals of DMA’s 2009 International ECHO Awards.
