DMA PRESS REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

Press credentials are reserved for editorial members of the working press. We are sorry but we cannot issue credentials to publishers, corporate officers, or sales, advertising, public relations or technical support staff from any organization.

Persons requesting media credentials for events sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association must be currently employed by an established news organization.

To receive press credentials, you must submit the appropriate documentation.

Requirements are detailed below:

Trade, Business and Consumer Publication Personnel

  • Provide two of the following three items:
  • A business card with your editorial title from an established publication
  • A current editorial masthead that includes your name
  • Two bylined articles published within the last six months

Television/Radio Reporters, Producers and Camera/Sound Crews

  • Provide a business card
  • Show an identification card with your title at your station

Freelance Writers/Reporters/Authors

  • Provide an original letter of assignment or a copy of your contract from a publisher or news organization
  • Show two samples of bylined articles published within the last six months
  • Unfortunately, those who are not currently under contract are not eligible for media credentials

Online Publications/Online News Services

  • Provide a business card with your editorial title
  • Show either two copies of bylined articles printed from the web site or an Internet address where the bylined articles can be viewed
  • Only those persons who write for established news outlets are eligible for credentials
  • Those who write content for web sites that are not media outlets are not eligible for press credentials
