The DMA's Teleservices Briefings To Include FCC Proposal For National Do-Not-Call ListWorkshop Briefing Series to Encourage Corporate Responsibility WHAT: The Direct Marketing Association's (DMA) Teleservices Ethics briefings will focus on the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) recent proposal to create a national do-not-call registry, among other issues. The briefings will also discuss the proper use of technology such as predictive dialers and pre-recorded messages. Participants will also receive updates on the national do-not-call registry proposed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC); and registration and compliance requirements with nearly 30 state do-not-call laws. The workshops, sponsored by The DMA's Ethics and Consumer Affairs division, will be presented by Ian Volner of Venable Attorneys-at-Law and Dan Smith of DeHart & Darr, all based in Washington, DC.
