DMA LIST AND DATABASE COUNCIL TO HONOR STEFANIE PONT

The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) List and Database Council today announced that Stefanie Pont, managing partner, Pont Media Direct, will be the recipient of its List Leader of the Year Award. The award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the list and database industry, will be presented at the List Leader of the Year Awards dinner on August 15, 2006, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

"I am thrilled with Stefanie's selection for this prestigious award," said Linda Huntoon, chair of the DMA List and Database Council and executive vice president of Direct Media. "Stefanie has always gone out of her way to serve the industry. She represents her company, her industry, and her colleagues with the highest standard of professionalism. The list industry is very fortunate to have her among us."

With more than 20 years of direct marketing, list brokerage, and management experience, Stefanie Pont launched Pont Media Direct in February of 2004, specializing in strategic media planning, list brokerage, campaign management and analysis. Her extensive client experience in a variety of fields (including telecom, publishing, catalog, and financial services) has been utilized by a wide and varied client base, including Sprint, IBM, Perkin Elmer, E*Trade, Apple, Saab of North America, Vonage, Quiznos and Visa Marketing, among others.

Prior to launching the company, Pont was vice president/corporate media director for Euro RSCG-Brann North America from 2000-2004, and managed media planning and buying for 7 regional offices. She has also held senior positions with some of the most respected list brokerage and management companies in the United States, including The Millard Group, Paradysz Matera and Boardroom, Inc.

Pont served as chair of the DMA List and Database Council from 1999-2003, created the List/Database Young Professionals Series, and chaired List Vision 1997, 2001, and 2004 and currently serves as Special Events/DMA Liaison Chair for the List and Database Council. Pont also serves on the Operating Board of The Direct Marketing Club of New York. Stefanie Pont writes frequently for industry publications, and moderated the Direct Magazine Database Marketing panel in 2004.
