Still Time to Register for DMA Nonprofit Federation 2007 Annual Washington Nonprofit ConferenceWashington, DC, December 14, 2006 – For nonprofit leaders looking to discuss the latest trends and techniques to help guide their organizations through the ever-changing world of nonprofit fundraising, there is still time to register for the Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation’s (DMANF) 2007 Annual Washington Nonprofit Conference. From January 25- “We are excited about the tremendous opportunities this conference provides for nonprofit leaders to exchange ideas for meeting fundraising and marketing needs,” said DMANF Executive Director Senny Boone. “The fundraising landscape is constantly changing and this year’s program is really geared to address the evolving challenges and opportunities for nonprofits. The conference’s 29 general and concurrent sessions will provide both fundamental and advanced lessons for developing fundraising capabilities and maximizing the potential of ongoing donor relationships. Strategies and techniques will be offered for messaging, creative, database marketing, integrated fundraising and program evaluation. Keynote speakers and conference presenters will provide inside perspectives to help nonprofit officials learn from the successes, and sometimes the mistakes, of other charity fundraising programs. This year’s featured speakers include Vicki Escarra, President and CEO of America's Second Harvest and William P. Magee, Jr., D.D.S., M.D., Co-founder and CEO of Operation Smile. The conference program also includes a special series of breakfast roundtable discussions on issues confronting nonprofit fundraisers, as well as a networking reception at the US Chamber of Commerce Building. On January 24, special pre-conference workshops will offer both an “advanced master class” and a “direct marketing 101” for those new in the field or wanting to learn the latest tips and techniques. Back by popular demand will be the Nonprofit Professional Exchange, which was introduced at last year’s conference and is designed to give nonprofit professionals the chance to speak with peers directly in an interactive forum. Each of the sessions will present a single, exploratory topic in an environment where ideas are exchanged freely, concerns are expressed openly, and relationship building is encouraged. Conference information and registration is available at www.nonprofitfederation.org ### About DMANF Since 1982, the DMA Nonprofit Federation and its predecessor organizations have been aggressive and effective advocates for nonprofits in postal, regulatory, legislative, and accountability issues.
