DMEF ANNOUNCES TIME CONSUMER MARKETING AS FIRST 'CORPORATE COMMITMENT AWARD' RECIPIENT

New York, NY, March 1, 2007 - The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) is pleased to announce that Time Consumer Marketing, Inc. (TCM), the consumer marketing division of Time Inc., is the first honoree to receive the Foundation's Corporate Commitment Award.  The award will be presented at the annual DMEF New York Awards Dinner on June 19 at The Boathouse Central Park, held in conjunction with the Direct Marketing Association's (DMA) 2007 DM Days.

The DMEF's Corporate Commitment Award honors companies that regularly demonstrate a commitment to excellence in all areas of direct marketing education among new and upcoming talent, and that consistently participate in activities that foster and promote excellence - for today and tomorrow.

"Unquestionably a leader in the area of staff development and training, I can't think of a more worthy honoree than Time Consumer Marketing," said Allen Dyon, chairman of the DMEF Board of Trustees and chief marketing officer of DMRA.  "We believe it will set the bar for all future Corporate Commitment Award recipients."

Commenting on the award, Brian Wolfe, president, Time Consumer Marketing, Time Inc., said, "This DMEF award acknowledges a standard ingrained in Time Consumer Marketing's DNA - and that is our commitment to invest in our talent in ways that provide a challenging and stimulating work environment, which enables us to be the leading magazine publisher in the United States and beyond."

The New York-based publisher is a mainstay in many households today, serving us such titles as Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Entertainment Weekly, Fortune, People en Espaņol among its nearly 150 titles.

DMEF Also to Honor 'Rising Stars'

In addition to its Corporate Commitment Award, DMEF also will honor three "Rising Stars" in the direct marketing community at its annual New York Awards Dinner on June 19.  DMEF continues to accept nominations - until March 15 - for this new award.  The inaugural winners will be announced on April 2.

In addition to being aged 40 and under, the DMEF Rising Star nominees must demonstrate superior leadership abilities, which include a strong track record of outstanding results.  Nominees also must have a stellar reputation for "giving back" through direct marketing education, exemplified by activities such as volunteering for industry groups or committees, teaching, and mentoring.

The deadline for nominations is March 15.  Additional information about the awards - including award criteria and a nomination form - is available http://www.the-dma.org/dmef/RisingStarApp.pdf

Invitations for the June 19 event will be mailed in March.
