2012 NY Nonprofit Conference

Program Purity – The Member/Donor Distinction
Thursday, July 26 - 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Are you a member-based organization whose Renewal communications read like a special Appeal?  Are your members confused as to their relationship with you?  In our urgency to raise the necessary funds to support our causes, we are often tempted to blur the lines between our programs by overusing our most pressing messages.  This can lead to member confusion and degrade member loyalty.  Come hear from your peers who have successfully separated their Renewal and Appeal programs and improved their fundraising performance and donor loyalty.

Intended Audience:  Intermediate level. For line managers to senior leaders engaged in or managing membership fundraising programs.

Learning Outcomes -- At the conclusion of this session, participants will:

1. Understand how to get started developing “purity” of your programs

2. Identify sophisticated targeting approaches and communications cadence

3. Find inspirational ideas to take home and try
