Real-life Multichannel Fundraising Stories
Friday, March 2 - 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum teams lead this informative session chock-full of multichannel success stories and lessons-learned, including direct mail, online/social media, e-commerce and live events. Get an inside look at the strategy, creative, timing, integration, and results of several campaigns including the Memorial Fund’s “Will Always Remember” photo tribute campaign and Ride & Run to Remember event.  The USHMM will present a case study of its Year End Campaign. Analytics experts Integral will also share findings from their Communications Analytics study regarding giving patterns of web-sourced and direct mail sourced donations.

Intended Audience: All levels

Learning Outcomes At the conclusion of this session, participants will:
1) Understand how to plan and execute effective multichannel campaigns
2) Learn how to find your special “niche,” such as special themes, events, anniversaries or milestones and develop the messages that work within that niche
3) Find out what worked and what didn’t for the Memorial Fund and the USHMM, and how to set expectations to define and measure your own multichannel program success

Kevin T. Moran, Co-Founder & Principal, Integral

Kevin T. Moran is co-founder and principal of Integral. Kevin has nearly 20 years of strategic experience working for and with nonprofits to develop business models that guide investment decision to maximize revenue.  Prior to Integral, Kevin was Director of Strategic Services at three interactive marketing consulting firms that served the nonprofit community – IAPPs, Commerce One, and APPNET. 

Kevin served as the Director of Interactive Marketing and Director of Annual Support at The Nature Conservancy and has had similar roles at The Wilderness Society, National Parks and Conservation Association and the Human Rights Campaign.


Dana Weinstein, Director of Membership, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

Dana Weinstein has over 12 years experience in direct response, nine of which are concentrated in nonprofit fundraising and advocacy efforts.  Through her work, she has helped raise a combined $150 million for organizations such as AARP, the Democratic National Committee, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, World Jewish Congress and Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life through direct mail, telemarketing and interactive fundraising.  Dana’s work has won numerous industry awards, including eleven coveted DMA International ECHO awards. 

 

Her commercial experience includes working in New York City at TEQUILA\, a division of TBWA\Chiat\Day, as an Account Director where she oversaw the retention direct mail program for Nextel Communications, Inc.  She also worked at Rapp Collins Worldwide for Kaiser Permanente and AmericaOne, a telecommunication division of CapitalOne Financial Services, where she developed and maintained multi-million dollar budgets and oversaw DRTV, radio, print and online efforts to acquire new customers.

 

Dana holds a Masters of Arts from George Washington University.  She currently serves as the Director of Membership at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
