The Ron Davis Young List Professional of the Year Award

Each year, members of The DMA List & Data Council honor up to three young professionals for their outstanding contributions to the list and database industry with the Ron Davis Young List Professional of the Year Award. Past Winners

2007 - Jodi Morrison, New Yorker Magazine
In a few short years Jodi has distinguished herself as a rising star in direct mail / circulation circles. Her peers and managers at New York Magazine credit her with dramatically improving list performance for their direct mail campaigns through improved segmentation, modeling and cost negotiations. In the past several years, New York Magazine has received numerous awards based in part on their ability to effectively maintain rate base.

With just a few years in the industry, Jodi was already an acknowledged list and circulation expert, when she was invited to speak at List Vision 2006. A regular attendee at DMA Conferences, including the Annual Conference, Jodi has used those opportunities both to learn and network, as well as to meet with list managers to explore new list and modeling opportunities for her magazine and negotiate effect list CPMs. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious and position her for continued success in our business.

2007 - Tobi DeVito, Paradysz Matera
Tobi has been with ParadyszMatera for 2 years; previously she worked on the client side, most recently at the American Federation for AIDS Research (where she worked in development). Although Tobi has been in the Nonprofit Industry for a few years, she is a relative newcomer to the List Industry. In her short time on the list and client-side, however, Tobi has proven herself to be a true up-and-comer, making significant contributions to both her clients and the DMA and DMA Nonprofit Federation.

Her industry involvement has demonstrated her belief that giving back to the list/media community is a critical element in both her personal success and helping to create an industry in which she can be proud to work. Although somewhat cliché, the term ‘going above and beyond’ most aptly describes Tobi and her approach to her work, her clients’ needs, and the industry. Because of her passion, intelligence and tenacity she is poised to become a long-term asset to the direct marketing industry.
