Get Your Geek On at DMA2011
Geeks of all persuasion will be thrilled to know that the Geekend Roadshow will be in Boston on October 3 and 4 as part of the DMA2011 Conference and Exhibition. The interactive phenomenon that was traditionally a Savannah conference will become part of the Boston marketing conference so geeks and marketers will have the opportunity to mix, mingle and share ideas.
Attendees at DMA2011 will have the opportunity to hear tech-focused content that brings together digital designers, social media fanatics, tech gurus, and other assorted geeks in one location. Some of the quirky topics that will be presented include “The War On Stupid Needs You”, “Disconnecting The Dots: How Our Devices Are Divisive”, “Apptastrophe: 4 Ways To Fail” and “Where Did Geeks Go Right?” The Monday session concludes with an Evening Tweetup. Displaying the uniqueness that only true geeks can offer, speakers include those with corporate titles such as chief storyteller, lead creative juicer, chief visionary officer and prime minister of awesome. The Roadshow’s closing session on October 4 will feature a talk by Seth Prisbatsch, Chief Ninja for SCVNGR.
Admission to the Geekend Roadshow is included with the regular conference price, but those who enter the word “GEEK” upon registration will receive a special geeky gift during the conference. By including this opportunity for direct marketers to mix with their more technical counterparts, DMA2011 is demonstrating that it truly is the global event for real-time marketing.
