Learn How to Integrate SEM at DMA2011 [DMA11]

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) can be a powerful component of an integrated marketing strategy. Getting brands, websites, products or services listed at the top of a search engine like Google, Yahoo! or Bing can translate to leads, customers, improved name recognition, sales and increased revenue. A search-engine friendly website can help convert visitors into buyers. In order for a site to be search-engine friendly, it must meet the needs of today’s crawler-based search engines.

But where can savvy marketers go to learn SEM? There are so many search marketing concepts including pay-per-click, search engine optimization, natural or organic search, landing pages, social media, paid inclusion and linking strategies that you could spend weeks of time learning in classes or through self instruction. Or, you can attend DMA2011 and find everything you need to know about SEM.

One opportunity to learn SEM is during the One-on-One Lab: Search Engine Marketing Experience on Tuesday. If you’re frustrated with your current PPC or SEO campaign or are new to search marketing, these all day one-on-one labs will be perfect for you. Thought leaders from Location3 Media will be on hand to teach you everything you need to succeed with your search marketing campaign—from keyword development and link building 101 to advanced bid optimization and site architecture tips. Sign up today to reserve your 30 minute spot. Potential discussion topics include keyword builds, ad copy creation, advanced targeting, site architecture, backlink analysis, internal linking strategies, link building, content marketing tactics, integrating PPC and SEO, and more depending on your unique needs.

If you have shorter questions, Search Engine Marketing experts will be on hand Tuesday for 15 minute 1:1 Gurus sessions. Or you can attend Ask-The-Experts Roundtables where industry experts will debate topics including “Come Together, Right Now, Over SEM: How to Unite PPC and SEO Campaigns” and “Mobile Search Advertising and the Importance of Data in Understanding Customer Intent.”

Those interested in an in-depth SEM learning experience should plan on attending the Post-Conference Certification. This certification workshop will dive deep into the fundamentals of search and website architecture to help attendees understand what it takes to develop a search-engine friendly website. In addition, the instructor will go through technical aspects of site architecture and design techniques to ensure that attendees’ websites will see increased traffic. Part 1 will cover the Fundamentals of Search and Website Architecture. Parts 2 & 3 will cover Advanced Info Architecture. If time allows, volunteers from the audience will have their sites examined to see how changes could be made to their site architecture and design to increase search engine traffic. The speaker is Shari Thurow, Founder & SEO Director at Omni Marketing Interactive.

Over 10,000 attendees will discover the latest in integrated marketing and SEM at this year’s DMA2011 Conference & Exhibition, October 1-6 in Boston - the global event for real-time marketers. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn how to use this dynamic marketing strategy to your greatest advantage.
