Because self-regulation and responsible marketing are so important to the overall health of the direct marketing community, DMA’s Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR) department will host free, monthly compliance webinars on the third Thursday of every month at 3:30 pm EST.  These virtual seminars will focus on a variety of important compliance matters that our members will face in 2009.  Topics will range from self-regulation and privacy/ethics to environment and international affairs.  Join us to learn about the latest DMA programs and resources to assist you with your multichannel marketing efforts in the afore-mentioned areas. Setting the Record Straight: DMA Green Facts & Resources for Members

You may be aware that some environmental groups have at times singled out our business community and specific businesses within it in order to further their agendas.  

 

In fact, the DMA and its members place a high priority on self-regulation and environmental stewardship.  Forests in North America are managed better today than ever before.  In the US, nearly 1.4 billion trees are planted every year – about 4 million per day – exceeding the number harvested and contributing to an overall net growth of forests. 

 

At DMA, we believe that you need to be informed in order to make the proper decisions and to respond to your critics when challenged.  We have numerous green tools and resources to assist you with understanding this complex issue and responding appropriately to current (or future) demands from environmental activists.   To help you get started and simplify the process, please visit the DMA Environmental Resource Center at www.the-dma.org/environment.

The goal of The DMA Circulation Council is be the authoritative voice on the marketing of magazine circulation and related products by providing valuable and credible services and attracting key industry players to its membership and events.
