Loyalty Marketing to the Underbanked
Faculty: Colleen Becker and Ken Kuschei Date: 12/16/08 at 1:00 PM EST

Financial services companies that have historically pursued traditional banking relationships with consumers are now stretching their boundaries and looking for ways to create new relationships– and capture potential value - with the underbanked segment. New technologies, marketing strategies and redefined demographics have created new opportunities to understand the needs of the underbanked consumer and deliver on the promise of value.

This session covers a basic overview of the underbanked segment and untraditional ways in which financial service companies are engaging with and building relationships with this segment of the population. Using the premise of COLLOQUY’s Relationship Chain, we’ll explore some of the core elements needed to service these customers effectively, how to uncover untapped potential and ultimately -- define what the pathway to a profitable strategy might look like.

You’ll leave this session with a handful of real world examples of how companies are deploying successful strategies to the underbanked – and be armed with a better understanding of how to capture the potential value of this underserved group of consumers.
